ABSTRACT: DISABILITY AND INCLUSION
Disability and inclusion of differently abled students have gained great importance in the Italian educational system over the past years. For this reason, our first workshop is dedicated to this extensive subject, a real flagship for our country.
The speakers of this workshop are: Prof. Valeria Friso (Department of Education Sciences, Professor of Special Needs Education at the University of Bologna), Dr. Doris Cristo (Representative of Special Needs Teachers at the Education Department at the Province of Ravenna) and Dr. Cesare Zavatta (Chairman of the Social Cooperative "Lo Stelo" in Cervia).
University Researcher Dr. Friso will discuss some data concerning her work and the following subjects will be tackled:
This workshop will finish with a practical example of protected work “inclusion” within the Social Cooperative based in Cervia called “Lo Stelo”
- Inclusion in education in Italy: various meanings and implementations
- The change from an educational level to the next one and the relationship with the working world (trends in the choice of upper secondary school by youngsters with disability and internship)
- Questions and an outlook for the future
